About
I began listening to The Music in the late 70′s and remained a fan ever since. But it wasn’t until I moved to South Florida that I actively became involved in the music scene. About 2001 I became a staff writer for Changes In Time Ezine, along with LuCifer and Samantha Von Trash. I also wrote for Darkdoors radio. When CIT folded a couple of years later, I decided to create Midnight Calling to continue supporting the bands and music that we all love. Locally, Midnight Calling has co-sponsored concerts and club nights. I was also a contributing writer for a couple of issues of Drop Dead Magazine. I was a co-founder for Nocturna, Fort Lauderdale; South Florida’s only club to feature new deathrock, which ran from Jan to May 2007.
There are no paid ads here or salaries here. We are doing it solely out of love of The Music. I deeply appreciate it when bands send me their CD’s to review (!), but I am also happy to buy CD’s and merch from bands when I can, because I realize that this is how they survive. I am particularly interested in finding bands who are “under the radar” so to speak. They are the foundation of the music world.
We gladly accept suggestions, articles and reviews from our readers, too! We are always willing to help promote or sponsor bands and events whenever possible. The bands and the fans are what makes the music community!
